A year with the Bible blog, Jan 21st
Dear Friends,
This week, we will conclude our reading of the Book of Genesis and begin the Book of Exodus. These are wonderful passages which remind us of God's providence to Joseph and his family as well as God's call to Moses in which God reveals his name. In our reading from Matthew's gospel, we will see Jesus as one who taught in parables, performed miracles, as well as read again the story of the Transfiguration. Our reading of the Psalms for this week will move us from Psalms of praise to Psalms which celebrate God's law, to a Psalm of lament, and the passages from Proverbs will assist us in our quest to understand God's wisdom.
O God, open our minds and our hearts as we read your Word together that we may experience your presence and be instructed in your way.
