February 3, 2013

Dear Friends,

As we continue our journey through the scriptures, the passages before us this week will be both familiar and challenging.  Our readings from Exodus will reacquaint us with the Ten Commandments as well as a host of laws and rules God provided to assist the Israelites as the lived and worshiped together.  In Matthew, we will read of the events of the first few days of what we call, "Passion Week," as Jesus makes his way to the cross.  Our reading from the Psalms will include a prayer of deliverance as well as some wonderful reasons as to why we are called to worship God.  Finally, in Proverbs we will be reminded of the wisdom of following God's commandments.

May God continue to bless us as we move forward in our year with the Bible.

Grace & Peace,

Tom Lovell
