April 22

Dear Friends,

This week, our reading from the Old Testament reminds us of Joshua's great charge to the people to "Choose this day whom you will serve," along with Joshua's proclamation, "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."  We then move into the Book of Judges which chronicles the life of Israel when there was no king in Israel and everyone did as he or she pleased.  In Luke, we will read of the days prior to Jesus' crucifixion as well as Luke's description of Jesus' death and resurrection.  In our reading from the Psalms, we will enjoy some fabulous Psalms of praise and in Proverbs, once again be reminded of the wisdom of the Lord.

May God continue to bless us as we move forward in our journey through the scriptures.

Grace & Peace,

Tom Lovell
