April 15, 2013

Dear Friends,

Our journey through the scriptures continues this week as we move from the rather difficult reading of the conquest of the land of Canaan to the division of the land of promise in Joshua.  In our reading from Luke, Jesus continues his journey to Jerusalem and enters the Holy City which sets in motion the final events which will lead to his death and resurrection.  In concert with Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, our reading from the Psalms begins with Psalm 84, which is a pilgrimage hymn expressing the joy of travelling to Jerusalem to observe the great festivals of the faith.  As we read Proverbs 13, we will once again be advised of the value of wise choices.

As we move forward in our journey through the scriptures, may God continue to provide us with new revelations and insights.

Grace & Peace,

Tom Lovell
